Collecting We ourselves have picked up a number of excellent Currier and Ives prints at 5 and 10 cents each. However, when a print came along with glass in its frame, the cost went up to 50 or 75 cents. The local group was bidding for the glass. So, when you're bidding or shopping for antiques, be sure that you're not paying for something you don't really want. The antique collector's hobby is one that requires at least a little capital, some bargaining skill, and more than a little specialized information.
