Collecting Most teenagers collect photographs of movie stars—only to throw them away or pass them on to other youngsters after a few years. It is a mistake to get rid of these one-time treasures, because) actually, these photographs of fifteen and twenty years ago have far more interest than current pictures of movie stars.

Photographs are a true reflection of the times in which they were taken. Our world goes through continuous changes day by day, but in the process, we do not realize how drastic some of these changes are_untii we look at a group of old photos. Styles change in clothing, hair-dos, jewelry, rugs, furniture, automobiles, and in almost everything else we use daily.

You can be entranced for hours at a time in studying a collection of photographs that cover no more than ten or fifteen years, and such a group of pictures is not hard to collect. Chances are that there are bins of old photos in the cellars of some of the movie houses in your town. The manager may not have bothered to throw them out when he finished with them, and he'll probably be happy to let you take them to make room in his cellar for more photos which will be discarded after current shows.
