Wood Carving - Crafts

We hear many stories about men and women who, with no training or even reading, got good results almost from the start, and we know, personally, at least two persons who learned the craft through books. There are many books that will help ease the path for you.

Wood carving has many advantages as a hobby. The cost of the wood and the few necessary tools is very low: a sharp knife, with blades of three or four different sizes, and the top of a cigar box are all you need to carve silhouettes. Wood carving requires little space, and you can do it anywhere.
