Electrical Projects If the humidifier has been exposed to a sudden change in temperature, it may take several hours for the humidistat to stabilize. When turning the unit on, turn the humidistat to its highest position and then slowly back it down until the humidifier shuts off. At this point, the humidistat setting is at the humidity level of the room. If more or less humidity is desired, adjust the humidistat control accordingly.


Disassembly

Before performing any service on these units, remove the drum from the water reservoir and disconnect the plug. The fan blade is secured to the shaft by a Ys" Allen screw. There should be some running clearance between the motor and the hub. Other models (such as the Hoover F7005 and E7007) have the fan secured by friction. The idler pulley is fastened to the shaft by a clip.
