In Canada, more children under the age of 16 die from accidents than from the next four major causes of child death put together. Each year about 2000 children die from accidents and hundreds of thousands more are injured.Each of your child's stages of development has its own attendant risks — sometimes accidents occur because parents have lost track of their child's quickly changing capabilities. Paying attention both to a child's quick-changing prowess and immediate environment is important.
