Dents. If you can get at the back side of the metal, hammer out the dent with a rubber mallet. Otherwise, fill with auto-body solder. File and sand smooth when dry, then paint.
Taint scratched, chipped. Clean metal with the point of a knife and emery cloth. Be sure to get off the rust. Then paint with touch-up enamel.
Chromium rusted. See
chromium plate.
Chrome strips off or loose. Place the strip over the little clips in the body and snap into place. If clips do not hold, it is advisable to have strip properly installed by a body shop. However, you can stick it in place yourself with several dabs of plastic steel.
Door rattles, doesn't close all the way. Check whether it is possible to loosen strike plate of the latch and move it slightly inward.
Rattles and leaks can also be stopped by installing new door gaskets available at auto supply stores.
Leaks around windshield. Clean sealing strip and squeeze in Duro windshield sealer.
Side windows leak, rattle. Replace old weather stripping with new. Strips are available at auto supply stores.
