Household Repairs Leaks. If hole is visible and accessible, drain radiator to below that point, clean and dry metal, and spread on a thick coat of plastic steel. If hole is invisible or inaccessible, pour in radiator-sealer available from service stations or auto supply stores.

Frozen. Fill with water. Replace cap but leave it slightly loose. Cover radiator with a blanket.

Start engine and let it idle until steaming stops.
