Fabric torn. Cut a patch out of matching material and glue over tear with Devcon Patch glue.
Seams in fabric split. If the fabric
is not too dried out, rip old seams open and cut off edges at thread line. Turn new edges out and baste. Then cover with cloth mending tape or leatherette and restitch.
Mildew stains on fabric. Wash with household detergent.
Wheel off. Pry off hubcap by opening the split metal tabs that clamp around the spokes. Slip wheel on axle and insert new cotter pin in end of axle.
Wheel wobbly. Take off hubcap, pull out cotter pin in axle and remove wheel. Slip tight-fitting steel washers over the axle, replace wheel and insert cotter pin.
Brake doesn't hold. Remove rust from brake joint with emery cloth and apply oil. If brake still doesn't hold, bend ends of brake rod slightly toward the wheels so they will grip tighter against the tires.
Joints in frame stiff. Rub off rust with liquid rust remover. Polish metal lightly with very fine steel wool. Apply oil.
