Accessory mounted on wall surface insecure. Anchor with long spring-wing toggle bolts or shorter expansion bolts, depending on wall thickness (see Basic Methods: How to Support, etc.).
Base of surface-mounted accessory secure, but leg holding towel rod, soap dish, etc., loose. In this old type of accessory, the leg is held in place by a short screw on the underside of the base. If simple tightening of screw does not correct problem, pull off leg and, with a file, notch or flatten the spindle on the end of the leg at the point where the screw touches it.
