Holes in metal. Clean metal thoroughly with steel wool. Smooth plastic steel over hole.
Holes in rubber. Wash surface, dry, and roughen with sandpaper. Spread on plastic rubber. If hole is very large, spread plastic rubber on bucket and on a patch of rubber, and hold together until adhesive sets.
Holes, cracks in plastic. Wash surface. Apply plastic-mending adhesive.
Holes in porcelain. Chip away a Uttle of the porcelain from around the hole and clean metal with steel wool. Spread plastic steel over hole.
Ear hose on metal bucket. Drill a hole through the ear and the bucket and rivet together.
Wood handle on bail broken. If it is split, glue it together with Elmer's Glue-All. If it is too badly damaged to be saved, slit a short length of rubber hose down one side, wrap around bail and apply rubber cement to both edges of slit. Let this dry, then apply a second coat of cement to one edge and press the two together.
