Household Repairs Cracked. Dry wood thoroughly. Spread epoxy glue or Elmer's waterproof glue on broken edges. Clamp together for 24 hours.

Blade splintered, cracked slightly at tip. Smooth off splinters with sandpaper. Force glue into splits. To prevent further damage, bend a strip of lightweight copper or aluminum around tip and tack in place with copper or aluminum tacks respectively.
