Household Repairs Plain hem out. Turn in the hem about 1", then turn in again about 1" and hem to body of fabric. Or you can attach hem by machine stitching.

Rolled hem out. Roll edge tight and hem down. Take tiny stitches.

Note. These are the two simplest and most common hems. If other types are out, resew like the sound hem.
