Holes, dents. Cut a piece of waste cork or even a bottle cork into tiny slivers (use a kitchen grater if you wish), mix with white shellac or clear lacquer and immediately spread into hole. Sand smooth when dry.
Burns. If stain cannot be removed by sanding, cut it out and fill hole as above.
Loose from base. Scrape out old adhesive and stick down with linoleum cement.
Pieces of cork separated. Coat both surfaces with Pliobond cement and let dry until tacky, then press together.
