Worn, splintered, scuffed. Saw in two, pry out in two pieces, take to lumber dealer and buy a matching threshold. At home again, use old threshold as a pattern for the cuts that have to be made in the new one. Use fine-toothed saw for cutting. Place in position in doorway and nail down with 3" finishing nails (drill holes for the nails first so as not to split the wood). Countersink nail heads and cover with plastic wood.
