Note. Let an expert make repairs on gasoline engines. But before calling on him, check and correct the points noted below for
small engines such as those on lawn mowers.
Doesn't start. Check: Is valve on fuel tank open? Is stop-switch pushed away from spark plug? Is choke adjusted? Are you out of gas?
Runs unevenly. Check: Is gasoline stale, gummy? Is fuel filter clean? Is oil in crankcase at proper level and is it clean? Is oil filter clogged? Are cooling fins clogged with grass and dust? Is spark plug dirty or cracked?
