Household Repairs Holes. Brush edges of hole with linseed oil. Fill with putty. If hole is large, cut a piece of wood to fit and nail in place. Conceal nail holes and cracks around edges with putty. Paint to match surrounding area.

Siding warped slightly. Nail down as well as possible and fill crack with caulking compound.

Badly warped, cracked or rotten siding. With saw, hammer, and chisel, cut out defective section and replace with new length of wood. Countersink nails and cover with putty. Repaint.
