Cracks. Chip crack open with a cold chisel. Blow out crumbs with vacuum cleaner. Wet edges with water. Fill with mortar made of 1 part cement and 2 parts sand.
Concrete badly broken. Break out bad area with a heavy hammer; clean out dust. Wet edges with water. Fill with 1 part cement, 1 part sand, and 1 1/2 parts coarse aggregate consisting of pebbles no more than 3/8" diameter. Compact mortar thoroughly to eliminate voids but don't work it so hard that water comes to the surface. Let it set until just before it is too hard to trowel. Then smooth off slightly above surrounding surface. Keep patch covered with damp burlap for several days.
Concrete pitted, uneven. Clean floor thoroughly. Spread on latex cement and trowel smooth. If cement needs to be more than 1/8" thick, apply it in two or more coats after preceding coat has dried.
Concrete dusting. Clean floor thoroughly. Then mix 1 part zinc fluosilicate with 4 parts magnesium fluosilicate. Mix 1/2 lb. of this mixture in 1 gal. water and mop evenly over floor. While this dries, mix 2 lb. of the fluosilicate in 1 gal. water. Mop on floor. When this has dried, mop floor with clear water to remove encrusted salts.
