Household Repairs Small holes. Clean metal with steel wool and fill holes at once with plastic steel.

Large holes. Replace flue section immediately.

Joints between pipe sections loose. Straighten pipes and support them on wires from joists. Remove dirt and rust with steel wool. Then cover joints with cement.

Joint between flue pipe and chimney open. Plug with cement.
