Household Repairs Nozzle clogged. Clean with a fine wire. If necessaiy, take off nozzle and wash it. Dry thoroughly.

Flit-gun type doesnt pump air. Remove cap at end of air cylinder, pull out plunger, and coat edges of leather with car grease. If end cap is not easily removable, pull plunger out as far as possible and apply heavy oil through holes in end of cylinder on leather. If duster still doesn't throw dust properly, replace the leather entirely.

Crank on crank-type duster works hard. Apply a few drops of oil to handle. On some dusters, there is a grease cap under the handle. Remove this, clean out old grease and apply new.

This kind of duster also works hard when the gears become clogged with dust. Remove end housings and clean dust compartment and gears thoroughly. Do not apply oil to moving parts except as noted above.
