Bulges. Carefully pry up bottom edge of the siding strip above the one affected and then slightly loosen the nails along the top edge of the bulging strip. If bulge does not disappear after a few days of warm weather, loosen the bottom edge of the strip and with a stick reach up under the strip and smear asphalt roofing cement under the bulge. Press down. If this does not eliminate bulge (don't count on it) the only thing left to do is carefully cut through the bulge along the "mortar" lines in the siding; spread asphalt roofing cement under the cut edges; overlap the edges, and wedge a board flat against them for several days.
