Household Repairs Tears in paper. Out of tissue paper cut a patch 1/2" larger than the tear in all directions. Paste down with Elmer's Glue-All.

Wood-framing pieces broken. If break parallels the grain of the wood, coat the broken edges with Elmer's Glue-All and clamp together. If break is across the grain, use epoxy glue and reinforce with a short strip of very thin wood, such as a veneer, glued to one side of the broken piece. Match sticks laid edge to edge, parallel with the grain, may be used instead of the veneer.

For a neater joint, cut a shallow recess in the framing member wood, on one side, and lay the reinforcement in this.
