Minor scratches. Dip a tiny artist's brush in lacquer thinner and lightly run it along the scratch. Thinner will soften lacquer, obliterate scar.
Larger scratches. Fill by rubbing with a colored wax stick made for use on furniture. Or tovich up with matching lacquer.
Water spots. Rub with cigaret ashes and a cloth dipped in salad oil or sewing machine oil. If this doesn't work, rub with rottenstone and cloth dipped in salad oil. Clean off residue with benzine.
Heat marks. Rub with rottenstone and oil as above.
Alcohol spots. Rub with rottenstone and oil as above.
Paint spots. Scrape off the paint with the point of a sharp knife. If surface is damaged slightly in the process, rub down with rottenstone and oil.
Nail polish. Handle like paint spots.
Candle wax on lacquer. Remove as much as possible with your fingers, then scrape off residue with a dull table knife and wipe entire surface quickly and lightly with benzine.
Crayon or lipstick. Rub with Jubilee cleaner-wax.
