Leader Downspout - L - Household Repairs

Seam split. Leader seams split when the leader is clogged with twigs and leaves and the water trapped above the clog freezes. Remove clog before making repair. Then bend metal back in shape, heat with a torch and apply solder.

Joints broken. Clean metal with steel wool. Slide lower length of leader up over upper length. Heat with a torch and apply solder.
