Household Repairs Doesn't work. Check whether fuse on house circuit has blown, whether outlet into which mixer is plugged is defective (just plug in a light). Then disconnect mixer and examine cord for a break. Repair or replace if necessary (see electric cord). If mixer still doesn't work, take it to a service shop.

Bowl doesn't turn. Lift turntable and scrub off gummy residues underneath. Put a drop of sewing machine oil on spindle.

Beater shafts bent. Clamp in a vise and carefully bend straight. But note that it is difficult to do a perfect job.

Beater blades bent, broken. Bends can be removed with pliers. If joint where blades cross at the bottom is broken, it can be resol-dered. See stainless steel.
