Household Repairs Gun doesn't deliver paint, sputters, or leaks. Clean gun thoroughly according to manufacturer's directions. If paint has dried on fluid tip, soak tip in paint thinner. Clean air nozzle. Tighten packing nut.

Compressor makes hammering noise. Check and tighten loose pulley on motor or compressor shaft. Tighten set screw holding eccentric to shaft.

Pressure is low. If air-intake filter on compressor is covered with paint, replace it. Tighten hose nuts and belt if it is slipping. Replace worn diaphragm.

Compressor pumps oil. Check whether oil level is too high. Examine for worn piston rings according to maker's directions.
