Household Repairs Finish marred. See lacquered surface, painted surface, shellacked surface, or varnished surface as case may be.

Gouges, dents. Fill with plastic wood and sand smooth when dry. Note that if particle board is stained, matching stain should be mixed into the plastic wood before it is applied.

Burns, scratches. See furniture, wood.

Stains. See wood.

Pieces of particle board separated. Nail or screw together, or coat both surfaces with Weldwood plastic resin glue and clamp pieces together overnight.

Particle board separated from another material. Ref asten with screws or bolts or use appropriate glue (see household decorative accessories and use same glues as specified for wood).

Edges rough. See plywood.
