Household Repairs Torn. Coat both edges with a thin coat of rubber cement, and before this dries, press the edges together. Smooth carefully so as not to damage the emulsion. Then cover a sheet of paper or cardboard and the entire back of the picture with rubber cement. Let dry, and apply a second over-all coat to the picture. Smooth it down on the paper.
