Household Repairs Note. When buying plywood, always specify "exterior grade" if it is to be used outdoors.

Finish marred. See lacquered surface, painted surface, shellacked surface, or varnished surface as case may be.

Veneer loose, broken, bulging. See veneer.

Burns, dents, scratches. See furniture, wood.

Holes, gouges, rot, stains. See wood.

Warped. See furniture—table (top or leaf warped). Note that exterior grade plywood is less subject to warping than interior grades.

Pieces of plywood separated. Nail or screw together, or coat both surfaces with Weldwood plastic resin glue or Elmer's waterproof glue and clamp pieces together overnight.

Plywood separated from another material. Refasten with screws or bolts. Or use appropriate glue (see household decorative accessories and use same glues as specified for wood).
