Household Repairs Doesn't work. Check whether fuse on house circuit has blown. Disconnect player and examine cord and plug for breaks. Repair as necessary (see electric cord). If player still doesn't work or doesn't work properly, take to a radio shop. Needle worn out. You can replace the needle or cartridge if you ave patience, good eyesight, and nimble fingers. Buy part made for your specific machine. Then disconnect wire leads from cartridge, remove cartridge and replace it in toto or simply the needle. Unfortunately, complete directions are impossible here because each make is different.
