Household Repairs Cracked. This is caused by the pressure of the water and soil behind the wall. The crack may now permit adequate drainage, so if wall does not seem in danger of collapse, do not fill crack (you can grow vines over wall to conceal it). If you do fill crack, drainage tile must be installed behind wall so that water is carried away around the ends of the wall or through it.

The whole situation is complicated and possibly dangerous. Call in a mason who understands such things.
