Household Repairs Wont start. Check whether it is turned on and gas tank is full. If there is no spark, replace plug.

Doesn't run well. Clean air filter. Change fuel filter. Replace spark plug. Drain tank and carburetor and clean. Readjust carburetor. Not all of these steps are required, of course; any one of them may do the trick.

Doesn't cut well. Apply oil. Tighten all screws, bolts, and nuts. Adjust tension on chain so that it slides easily around bar when moved by hand. Check whether bar holding chain is pinched and pry it open. Sharpen dull chain.

Note. Keep manufacturer's instructions and follow them faithfully.
