Household Repairs Don't cut—simply fold material being cut. Tighten screw joining the two halves of the scissors.

Dull. Cut a piece of medium sandpaper in two. Turn sandpaper over and cut again. But for a real sharpening job, stop the scissors-grinder next time he passes your house.

Point broken. File metal smooth. The scissors may not be perfect, but they are still usable.
