Losing its stuffing. Coarse wool or shreddings from an old fiber rug cushion makes the best stuffing. Cram in tightly and then restitch the torn seam.

Glass eye loose or off. First try looping a small hairpin through the eyelet in the back of the eye. Pinch the bend in the hairpin closed. Put a dab of Duco cement on the back of the eye and on the hairpin wires. Stick hairpin all the way into the head. Give the cement an hour or two to dry before testing whether eye is secure. If it comes loose, remove the hairpin. Thread a needle with heavy cotton thread and poke it through from the back of the head to the eye socket. Run thread through the eyelet in the back of the eye. Then poke needle back through the head to the point you started from. Pull eye up close to the head, squeeze the head slightly, and tie a square knot in the ends of the thread so that when you release pressure on the head, the thread will be tight.
