Household Repairs Holes, tears. If a hole, trim it out neatly. If a tear, bring edges together neatly. Sew a patch of matching suede under the opening. If the garment is old and will not be dry cleaned, patch can be glued on with rubber cement. (Glue is dissolved by dry cleaning.)

Stains. Take garment to dry cleaner; even he probably cannot remove the stains, but he can conceal them by spray-dyeing.
