Household Repairs Leather slashed. Lift edges, spread Elmer's Glue-All underneath and smooth down.

Fabric slashed. Spread Devcon Patch glue underneath and smooth down.

Plastic slashed. Glue down with plastic-mending adhesive or patch with matching plastic and the adhesive.

Fabric of lightweight, unrein-forced bag cut. Cover cut on the inside with adhesive-backed mending tape, or cut a patch out of lightweight canvas with pinking shears, coat with Devcon Patch glue and smooth over back of tear.

Leather on handle worn, torn. Sew down loose flaps of leather if possible. Otherwise, glue in place with Pliobond cement. If wire hooks in ends of handle are loose, bind lightweight wire tightly around them and glue leather over them.

Leather edge bindings worn, torn. Cut out worn spot. Apply a little Pliobond cement under ends of remaining bindings. Out of matching leather, cut a new binding to fit. Apply Pliobond cement to back of patch and to edge of suitcase. Let dry until tacky, then press binding in place.

Leather scuffed. Trim off little flaps of leather with scissors. Rub scuffed area vigorously with palm of hand. Then apply appropriate polish.
