Household Repairs Antenna leaning, loose at mounting. If antenna is mounted on chimney, tighten metal straps holding it. If one of these is broken, replace it with a new strap or with baling wire.

If antenna is clamped to wood siding, a window, or the fascia board at the eaves, remove U-shaped pipe hangers and screw them to firm wood (don't count on the ability of screws to hold in plastic wood crammed into old screw holes). Install additional pipe hangers if needed.

If antenna is bolted to masonry siding, lead anchors in the wall have probably pulled out. Replace with new anchors. If these are also loose, drive in larger screws.

If antenna is mounted on roof, it should be held upright by guy wires. If you have these, check whether they have broken or come loose. If you don't have these, attach three or four to antenna pole and to large screw eyes at edges of roof.

Antenna twisted, not aimed at station. Loosen antenna pole from brackets holding it and reorient. If antenna is badly rusted, you'll probably need to saturate brackets with Liquid Wrench penetrating oil before you can turn pole. Have some one check the picture on the TV set while you are adjusting the aim.
