Household Repairs Beckets (peg loops) frayed or torn loose. You can replace them with new loops made out of canvas, but they'll probably come apart quickly, too. Buy heavy belt-webbing and cut to proper length. Punch a small hole near each end. Make corresponding holes in bottom seam of tent. Insert a metal rivet through a small washer and then through the webbing and the tent seam. Place another washer over the shank. Then hammer down end of shank. The loop should be formed so that the two rivets are about 3" apart.

Holes, tears. Dry tent. Cut patch out of matching material and glue down with Devcon Patch.

Tent leaks, though no holes are to be seen. Erect tent in a warm place and let it dry. Brush or spray on prepared waterproofing compound available from camping supply store.

Window netting torn. Sew torn edges together with overcasting stitch,,

Holes in window netting. Cut edges cleanly. Out of matching netting cut a patch at least 2" larger in all directions than the hole. Coat patch heavily with Devcon Patch and place over hole. Press between wax paper and two boards.
