Household Repairs Tube punctured. If hole is not visible, inflate tube and place it in a tub of deep water. Bubbles will show location of leak. Use a tire-tube patching kit. With the top of a can, roughen the rubber around the puncture. Apply rubber cement evenly to tube and let dry to tackiness. Apply a second coat of cement in same way. Remove fabric backing from patch and press on to cement. Roll flat.

Tubeless tire punctured. Use a tubeless-tire patching kit. Tire does not have to be dismounted. With pliers pull out object that punctured tire. Clean the hole with rubber plug needle (in kit) dipped in cement. Work more cement into hole with needle. Roll small end of a rubber plug that is about twice as large as the hole into needle eye. Dip plug and needle into cement and push plug into hole. Unhook needle by pulling straight out. Trim plug off 1/8" above tread.
