Household Repairs Bottom board broken. Unscrew the board from the cross braces and break the glue bonds. Cut the board in two immediately under one of the braces in front of the break. Angle the cut so that the front edge of the board is slanted upward toward the front of the toboggan. Cut a hickory board to the proper length and angle the back end to overlap what remains of the broken board. Glue the angled edges together with epoxy glue. Then glue and screw the old and new lengths of board to the cross braces.
