Note. The greatest enemy of all tools is rust. If it forms, rub it off with fine steel wool and then with Hquid rust-remover. Wipe an oily rag over tools that are stored in a damp place.
Other common problems are broken or loose handles, dull and nicked cutting edges, clogged teeth, and stiff movement of such jointed tools as braces and wrenches. The methods for correcting these problems are obvious and generally similar to those used for the tools for which specific entries appear.
