Household Repairs Paper or fabric covering torn or loose. Glue with Elmer's Glue-All.

Leather covering torn or loose. Coat back of leather and base with Pliobond cement. Let dry and apply another coat. When this is tacky, smooth the leather down.

Top binding badly torn. Replace with binding cut from adhesive-backed mending tape.

Plastic basket cracked. Coat cracked edges with plastic-mending adhesive and clamp together for 24 hours.

Fancy perforated metal strip broken from solid metal below. This will never look the same, but you can mend the basket pretty well by sanding off paint on inside of strip and metal below it. Out of coarse metal window screen cloth cut a strip 1" to 1 1/2" wide and long enough to cover the break. Spread a thin coat of plastic steel on basket and embed mesh in it. Do not add additional plastic steel unless mend seems weak when patch dries.
